The Omega Series Benchtop Primer Seater was specifically designed to meet both the needs of high volume reloaders and benchrest-level precision, this tool guarantees that each primer is seated with the utmost consistency. Our patent-pending technology allows each primer to be seated relative to the base of the cartridge and is adjustable in 0.001” increments. Traditional shell holders and priming tools index off of the rim of the cartridge while seating the primer, thus allowing rim thickness variance to influence primer seating depth. This increased level of consistency relative to the base of the cartridge contributes to a higher standard of performance.

User-Friendly Design for Seamless Operation

The Omega Series Benchtop Primer Seater was designed from the ground up with ergonomics and efficiency at its core. The premise of the ergonomics is based on maintaining one-handed operation while priming: pull the handle up to feed the primer, push the handle down to insert the primer into the case. This enables the reloader to keep one hand always engaged with the handle while feeding cases with the opposite hand. This configuration allows for the fastest possible priming experience. The handle features 5 adjustment positions to ensure that all users have the best experience. The adjustment dial has labeled positions so that users can quickly adjust settings between different cases and primer sizes without any guesswork.

Changing between primer sizes is intuitive and streamlined:

1. Remove the shell holder
2. Run handle all the way down and remove the primary shell support block
3. Flip priming stem around and replace with the corresponding primary shell support block (labeled with S or L)
4. Flip the shuttle selection switch to S or L
5. Bolt down new shell holder.

Gone are the days of fighting with primer tubes. No more counting out the exact number of primers to load in the tube, no more inserting a hairpin cotter pin, and no more leaving the last couple primers in the primer seater. 701 Precision’s new patent-pending primer retention clip streamlines the primer tube experience. This primer retention clip ensures that no primers are left behind in the primer seater by sticking a wedge below the last primer in the stack. The retention clip stays attached to the primer tube during transport and storage. To insert the tube into the primer seater, just thread in the tube and pull off the clip.

Every joint contains hardened steel shafts and bearings to ensure long life and smooth operation. The housings are machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, internals are machined from 303 stainless, and shell holders are machined from pre-hardened 17-4 stainless.
